Advice from Peter Shankman - HARO

Peter Shankman helped spark my interest in Social Networking...in this article he outlines some important key points:

1. Listen more than you talk.
2. Offer help.
3. Learn from others.
4. Spend time building your Social Network every day.
5. Stay in touch with people even when you don't need something.
6. If you wouldn't do ...it face to face, don't do it online.

The Social Networking Nanny's KARE11 TV interview about Social Networking

I had the pleasure of being interviewed recently by Kim Insley of KARE11 News, Mpls/St Paul MN  It was an amazing experience, and I hope many businesses better understand the importance of doing Social Networking.

I suggest watching the video below, but also reading the article for additional information:
http://www.kare11.com/takekare/career/career_article.aspx?storyid=840123%am987tid=376

If you are unable to access the video below, it is also in the link above, in the right column.

A video introducing me...the Social Networking Nanny

Here we go...my first video blog entry!  It was fun to share with you a little history, and to let you see me as a real person   I apologize for the "tinny" sound in the audio...it happened on the upload, and isn't heard in my original taping.    If anyone has ideas or suggestions of why this happened, please contact me.

Intro to the Nanny

Is Social Networking necessary for businesses....yes! A video worth watching...

Thanks to our friend, Canadian Artist Julia Trops for sharing this video with us - great information for those who are still only thinking about doing Social Networking.
